DRESS CODE
At ECDS, we believe that a school uniform fosters a sense of community, equality, and school pride. Our dress code is designed to promote a respectful and focused learning environment while allowing students to feel comfortable and confident.

EVERYDAY UNIFORM GUIDELINES
PANTS & TROUSERS
Trouser-style pants or long shorts in khaki, black, or navy.
Girls may also wear skorts or skirts in the same colors.
SHIRTS
Must have collars:
Oxford (button-down), long or short sleeves.
Polo shirts, long or short sleeves.
Turtlenecks.
Solid colors only: White, maroon, navy, or forest green.
SWEATERS
Solid-colored cardigans, crew, or V-neck pullovers (no stripes or patterns).
Colors: White, maroon, navy, or forest green.
SNEAKERS & SHOES
Sneakers are recommended. Alternatively, wear sensible shoes in black, brown, or white.
Matching socks are required.
Avoid thick-tread shoes to minimize mud.
Flip-flops are not allowed.
FLEECE REQUIREMENTS
All students must have a fleece for indoor warmth, preferably with the ECDS logo.
Colors: White, maroon, navy, or forest green.
FORMAL UNIFORM
REQUIRED FOR FIELD TRIPS, SPECIAL OCCASIONS, AND PICTURE DAY
Grades K-4
White collared shirt or blouse.
Khaki “Dockers” style pants, or a khaki skirt with tights (white, navy, or maroon).
Maroon sweater or fleece with logo.
Matching socks and sensible shoes.
Grades 5-8
Boys: White button-down dress shirt and tie.
Girls: White collared blouse.
Khaki “Dockers” style pants, or a khaki skirt with tights (white, navy, or maroon).
Navy blazer with logo.
Matching socks and sensible shoes.
Note: Girls may wear maroon tights for added warmth.
ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES: (Mon-Thurs)
No jeans, jean shorts, stripes, patterns, stretch or stirrup pants.
No ripped or baggy pants, short shorts, or long skirts (skirts must be no longer than 1” below the knee and no higher than 3” above the knee).
No T-shirts or sweatshirts (except those with the Phoenix bird logo).
No bare midriffs or inappropriate jewellery.
No makeup, high heels, sandals, clogs, or boots.
Hats are not to be worn indoors.
NON-UNIFORM FRIDAYS
Clothes must be neat, appropriate, and unremarkable.
No shirts with writing, no torn jeans, and no inappropriate styles.
